Ambassador One Nigeria
On the 25th of September 2023, I took my tired self to the labor party mega rally in old parade ground Abuja. I was very excited to document that day and also to see the popular Peter obi. As I was waiting under a tree, I saw a large crowd gathering, I ran towards the crowd hoping it was Peter obi’s arrival but to my surprise it saw one neatly dressed guy sitting on a wheelchair conspicuously dressed in the Nigeria National colors in every detail of his outfit.
Who is this guy?
To answer this question, I ended up following him for 3 months documenting his daily activities, his political advocacy and I eventually became really involved in his life.
Ambassador “One Nigeria”, as he is fondly called dedicates his life in advocating for a better Nigeria.
He lives in an open space at the old Parade ground sport center, he is forced to wake up at 4am everyday so as to allow the sport enthusiast who frequent the center as early as 5am to do their daily exercise. Despite these inconveniences he is never discouraged “from managing, I will become a manager”, he believes.
Every day he shuffles the street of Abuja with his wheelchair talking about a new Nigeria and sensitizing the inhabitants on the need to vote for a credible candidate.
In his quite moment he consumes the Works of Karl Marx and other revolutionary. He believes in Struggling, “Struggling is part of my life, and it is in my blood and in my heart.
My name is Ambassador Sani Ibrahim Aka “One Nigeria”.
